The mission of the town of Mendon Republican Committee is to promote and continue the Republican Party philosophy by identifying and supporting candidates for public office, who will impart those ideas towards the betterment of government for the people of Mendon. We hope that these ideals, which have served us so well in making this community what it is, will continue to serve us in assuring Mendon's future lifestyle. Join us at the next committee meeting in Honeoye Falls.

Mendon's residents are in the vast majority Republican. The Mendon GOP's traditions, philosophies, and political record are the foundation that the majority of the town residents look to for the continued viability of the community's lifestyle. With an important election coming in the fall of 2009, where the Town Supervisor position is up for election, there are also two town board postions up for election, plus Town Justice. Our elected incumbents are looking to continue their loyal service. The Republican Party is looking to increase its role of responsible leadership in the community.

The tax situation of the past year required a single year tax increase of approximately 25% in 2009 for the town. The current leadership and the legacy of its immediate Democrat predessessors is percieved by this committee as a poor alternative to GOP leadership. The republican committee is committed to presenting candidates to the people of Mendon that will practice sound fiscal policy and protect the town's investment and resources. We also hope to re-energize the Library Project and get it done right!

Recent events tarnished the town's past record of modest tax increases relative to the rest of Monroe county. But we are confident that restoring Republican leadership will also restore the town's place as one of the greatest places to live in Monroe County.
