ELECTION RESULTS - The unofficial results show Mr. John Moffit is the Town Supervisor Elect in Mendon! The Mendon Republicans won five of the six seats that were up for the vote. Mr. John Rooney was the third vote getter in the council race, finishing just behind Mr. Bickwheat in a very close race. The committee would like expresss it's sincere thanks for the support that our slate of six excellent candidates recieved.

The Unofficial Republican Results:

• Town Highway Superintendant: Smith
• Town Justice: Briggs
• Town Council: Boyce

PRIMARY SWEEP - All the endorsed candidates won their respective primary races! Plus, more good news is that John Moffitt won the Independence Party nomination as well - everyone but the Democrats are behind John for Town Supervisor! The Mendon Republican incumbents running for re-election are Town Board Member John Rooney, Highway Superintendent Bud Smith, and Town Clerk Jim Merzke. They are joined by John Moffitt, Karla Boyce and Cara Briggs to round out the ticket. The committee is looking forward to presenting the slate on this page to the voters in the 2009 election, so be sure to come out and support and vote for these excellent Republican, Conservative, and Independence endorsed candidates in general elections!

The Republican Ticket for the 2009 Election Year:			Some of our Platform Goals: Introduce true fiscal responsibility, fiscal ability, and transparency to the Town of Mendon Council instead of merely talking about it. Stabilize your taxes and prevent the irresponsible and extreme tax swings the town experienced last year from ever happening again. Complete the Library successfully! The town cannot be made a victim of poor planning and shell game financing with public money. Also, it would be good to set the record straight on who really dragged the Library issue out and who advocated getting it done right. We want it to be known that the Republicans in the Council supported and advocated the Library Project going back two administrations.
